Attorney General releases SAFE Report recommending legislative fixes around sexual assault kits, additional funding for cold cases investigations

OLYMPIA — An advisory group convened by the Attorney General’s Office released its report to the Legislature and Governor today. The report calls on the state to provide resources for the investigation and prosecution of cold cases, and to establish a statewide practice of collecting court-ordered DNA samples.

OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson urges consumers to be on the lookout for websites posing as the state’s health insurance marketplace.

The Washington Health Benefit Exchange has received dozens of complaints from Washingtonians coming across websites posing as the official health insurance marketplace. Some websites are tricking Washingtonians to get their personal information. Others provide services, but charge for things that should be free.

AG Ferguson statement on DACA argument before US Supreme Court

OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson released the following statement today after argument before the U.S. Supreme Court defending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program:

“Nearly 18,000 Dreamers live and work in Washington, and they make our communities stronger,” Ferguson said. “Washington is their home. I am proud to stand up for them in the highest court in the country.”
