If you can’t keep up with your mortgage payments and are concerned about foreclosure, you can obtain free help. The Urban League has teamed up with the state Department of Financial Institutions and other organizations to provide three workshops this month in the Puget Sound.

Meet with a housing counselor to learn about available options to remain in your home and avoid foreclosure.

Bring copies (keep the originals) of your:

  • Photo ID
  • Social Security number
  • Closing documents
  • Last two years of W-2s and tax returns
  • Last two months of pay stubs
  • Last two bank statements
  • Monthly mortgage statements
  • And, if applicable, a layoff notice from your employer or medical letter from your doctor.
