What do scams actually look and sound like? NPR recently aired a series of stories on foreclosure scams, phishing and credit repair ploys. It's nice to know we're not the only ones screeching about these fake-outs that are claiming victims across the nation and in Washington. And while All Consuming readers should be quite familiar with these cons, I think the radio reports are worth your ears because they include taped recordings of come-ons, as well as a couple of visuals of a deceptive auto warranty letter and this propery-tax reassessment scam.
Additional information about these scams can be found in our Recession Survival Guide.
