Sony is promising a year of identity theft protection services for PlayStation Network and Qriocity users, following its recent data breach.
Starting today, account holders in the United States can enroll in the service at http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. They'll receive a free year of Debix's AllClear ID PLUS program. The offer includes $1 million of identity theft insurance coverage and is available to those who had PlayStation Network accounts before April 20.
As a reminder, identity theft protection and credit monitoring services aren't foolproof.
