Other LanguagesThe Washington Department of Commerce is offering a foreclosure mediation training program on June 28 and June 29, 2011, at the Lynnwood Convention Center.
The training is designed to provide experienced mediators with the technical information necessary to conduct an effective and complete foreclosure mediation process consistent with the intent of the Foreclosure Fairness Act. Register by June 5 and/or obtain additional information about the new law and the mediation program at www.commerce.wa.gov/foreclosures.
State law now requires lenders to notify borrowers prior to foreclosure of the availability of foreclosure counseling and the potential for mediation.
