According to the Food and Drug Administration, it is now safe to eat all kinds of tomatoes again. The agency said Thursday that fresh tomatoes in the U.S. are not associated with the current salmonella outbreak and it is lifting its June 7 warning. The FDA is still warning people in high risk populations, such as the elderly, infants and people with impaired immune systems, to avoid eating raw jalapeño and raw serrano peppers for the time being.
