If you've ever become the victim of a scam, you may end up on what's called a "sucker list." But what happens if cons have the wrong number? Unfortunately, as this story from KIRO TV shows, you might still be bombarded with phone calls even if you're not a sucker.
Attorney General Rob McKenna, who was interviewed for the story, says that if your phone won't stop ringing, you should sign up for the Do Not Call list. But, he warns, criminals generally don't care whether you want to chat with telemarketers; they'll call anyway. So your only option may be to change your number.
