Working Across Washington
This month, my office won a grant to help sexual assault victims receive justice, released the second annual Data Breach Report, helped improve living conditions for 100 families in Mattawa and filed lawsuits against the Trump Administration for unlawfully jeopardizing access to affordable health care and access to contraception.
Holding lawbreakers accountable is what my job is all about. I have worked hard to make sure my office stops bad actors in their tracks and takes steps to deter future ones.
If the Trump Administration continues to take illegal actions, I will continue to use my office to remind them that our nation’s laws apply to everyone. The rule of law does not stop at the White House gates.
I am committed to using the office of Attorney General to help Washingtonians. Sometimes that requires bringing people together to facilitate meaningful conversation on critical statewide issues.
Dear Friends,
When I became Attorney General, I committed the Attorney General’s Office to doing more to protect Washington’s environment and workers.
I firmly believe that we are a nation of laws. That means that everyone is accountable to the Constitution, no matter their status, including the President of the United States.
The opportunity to request legislation that improves the laws of our state constitutes a key responsibility of my role as Attorney General.
