Washington State

Office of the Attorney General

Attorney General

Bob Ferguson

The Attorney General’s Office sued Reed Hein & Associates LLC, also known as Timeshare Exit Team, in 2020, alleging that it charged consumers to provide assistance with getting out from under timeshares, but failed to do so. To resolve the Attorney General’s lawsuit, Reed Hein/Timeshare Exit Team was forced to stop its deceptive timeshare exit practices and pay money to Washington state.  As part of this resolution, Washingtonians who purchased Timeshare Exit Team’s services may be entitled to a refund of at least some of the money they paid.

Only the company’s Washington customers are eligible for a potential refund as a result of this settlement.

The Attorney General’s Office hired a company called Kurtzman Carlson Consultants, or KCC, to assist with the distribution of refunds. KCC has developed a website related to this case to provide detailed information on how to apply for a refund.
