JUSTICES OF THE PEACE ‑- GARNISHMENTS ‑- EXEMPTION OF WAGES -- APPLICABLE TO SUPERIOR AND JUSTICE COURTS

The wage exemption statute (RCW 7.32.280) is applicable to garnishment proceedings in both superior and justice courts.

JUDGMENTS ‑- EXECUTION ‑- GARNISHMENTS ‑- EXECUTION AND GARNISHMENT UPON REGISTRATION OF A FOREIGN JUDGMENT

The registrant of a foreign judgment, under chapter 6.36 RCW, may not cause execution, or garnishment under RCW 7.32.010 (3), to issue upon the judgment so registered prior to the time that said judgment is reduced to a judgment of this state.

STATE AUDITOR ‑- GARNISHMENTS ‑- WARRANTS ‑- WARRANT PAYABLE TO JUDGMENT CREDITOR IN GARNISHMENT PURSUANT TO ORDER OF COURT

The auditor is required, under RCW 7.32.060, 7.32.070 to issue a warrant to the order of the judgment creditor in garnishment when directed by the superior court to do so.
