To validate a proposed consolidation of whole existing school districts with part of an existing district, an election is required to obtain majority vote of the electors of each whole district separately and a majority vote of the electors of the part district residing within the proposed new district.
The county commissioners of a fifth class county having a 1970 census population of 15,796 inhabitants does not have the authority to provide for the election of a single, full time judge to serve a justice court district encompassing the entire county.
Where persons are currently serving by appointment as district justice court judges under RCW 3.34.100, an election will not be required by chapter 4, Laws of 1973, to be held on November 6, 1973, for the remainder of the unexpired term they are serving.
All elections which a school district is authorized by law to hold, except recall elections in class A and AA counties are to be conducted by election officials appointed by the county auditor pursuant to RCW 29.45.010 and RCW 29.45.030.
