(1) The Board of Prison Terms and Paroles has jurisdiction to parole a person convicted of being an habitual criminal after said person has been confined for a minimum period of fifteen years less time credit reduction from the term of imprisonment fixed by the Board. (2) Section 1, chapter 238, Laws of 1951, provides that lifers, after serving twenty years, less one‑third off for good behavior, may appear before the board for parole consideration, may also be applied in cases of this kind.
