Seattle - November 21, 2001 - Governor Gary Locke and Attorney General Christine Gregoire, along with representatives of state law enforcement and prosecutors’ organizations, announced proposed joint legislation Wednesday which would provide tough, comprehensive new tools to fight terrorism.
The Washington Supreme Court has denied the State's motion to vacate the stay of execution. The court denied the motion without prejudice, indicating the State may renew the motion before the superior court in 90 days. This means the execution will not occur on December 3, 2008. Rather, the execution date will reset in the future once the stays are lifted.
