Other LanguagesSEATTLE – A Vancouver man who sells business cards and graphic design services over the Internet will refund customers who never received their orders under an agreement reached this month with the Washington Attorney General’s Office.
Joel McDonald sells graphic design and print services on Web sites including nwcreativeservices.com, designerbizcards.com and blueorbphoto.com.
Consumers complained that he failed to deliver goods after accepting payment, failed to refund customers within the promised 30-90 day window and misrepresented the amount of time it would take to complete orders.
“Simply put, it got to the point where many of Joel McDonald’s promises weren’t worth the paper that they were printed on,” said Assistant Attorney General Mary Lobdell.
As part of the agreement filed in Clark County Superior Court, McDonald agreed to pay approximately $2,600 in refunds to six consumers who had filed complaints with the Attorney General’s Office and to comply with state consumer protection laws. He will also pay $3,600 to reimburse the Attorney General’s Office for investigative costs.
