Other LanguagesOLYMPIA -- Attorney General Rob McKenna today announced the selection of Joseph Shorin, III as the new division chief for the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Division of the Office of the Attorney General.
Shorin has served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Attorney General's Office for fifteen years. During that time he has worked in the Agriculture and Parks Division, the Natural Resources Division and most recently in the Ecology Division as a section manager.
"Joe's expertise and experience in environmental law makes him a perfect fit for this position," said McKenna. "He is highly respected within our office and throughout state government for his outstanding legal skills and dedication to public service."
Shorin earned his B.A. in Environmental Studies from Rollins College in Florida and his J.D., with Certificate in Natural Resources Law, from the University of Oregon School of Law. He has received an "Outstanding Employee" award from the Attorney General's Office and the Angelo Petruss Award for Lawyers in Public Service. He was on the Founding Board of Directors for the Thurston County Volunteer Legal Clinic Foundation and currently sits on the Thurston County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
