“Washington state secured its 18th legal victory against the Trump Administration this afternoon. Today’s ruling by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia protects the Affordable Care Act by blocking the Trump Administration’s attempt to undermine state health care exchanges. President Trump’s Rule jeopardized state health care exchanges around the country, including Washington’s. The federal judge hearing our case correctly called out the ‘absurdity’ of the Administration’s reasoning, and ruled the Administration was unlawfully attempting an ‘end run’ around the ACA. Washington will continue to fight to protect hardworking Washingtonians’ access to affordable health care, and hold the Trump Administration accountable to the rule of law.”
