DETAILS: The event is part of the statewide “Guard It! Washington” campaign, a partnership of the Attorney General’s Office, Federal Trade Commission and AARP.
While Washington has dropped from 7th to 13th in the nation per capita for identity theft cases reported to the Federal Trade Commission, many Washington residents still inadvertently put themselves at risk.
Those attending the shredding are invited to bring up to three grocery sacks or two file boxes of documents to be shredded at no charge.
