Other LanguagesOLYMPIA — Attorney General Rob McKenna today issued the following statement regarding the announcement that the US Department of Justice has filed suit to block the proposed acquisition of T-Mobile by AT&T.
“The Washington State Attorney General’s Office has been working with a small group of states on an executive committee looking at the AT&T/T-Mobile merger for many months. We are going to continue to work with the U.S. Department of Justice and the other states interested in this transaction. We share DOJ’s concerns about the takeover of T-Mobile by AT&T and will work with DOJ staff to ensure that consumers’ interests are protected and that our concerns are addressed.”
