OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today he and a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general have won more than $49 million so far in their case against major drug manufacturers that conspired to illegally raise prices on hundreds of generic drugs. The conspiracy caused consumers to pay more than 10 times as much for some drugs, ranging from antibiotic ointment to cancer treatments. 
TACOMA — A federal judge upheld Washington’s ban on selling and distributing at-home sexual assault kits today, dismissing a lawsuit brought by a Pennsylvania company that sells the self-administered kits for profit.

TACOMA — On Friday, a Pierce County judge ordered a local business owner to pay more than $360,000 in penalties and restitution for unlawfully charging gas station owners for unfinished, unnecessary, or shoddy work on underground fuel storage tanks. The order is the result of a consumer protection lawsuit filed by Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s Wing Luke Civil Rights Division. 
SEATTLE — A King County Superior Court judge agreed with Attorney General Bob Ferguson and ruled that the Michigan-based owner of Labor Law Poster Service broke the law nearly 600,000 times sending scam solicitations targeting Washington businesses.

SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today that his lawfully owed DNA project has helped law enforcement collect and log 3,000 DNA profiles of serious criminal offenders to the national database. State law requires many offenders to provide DNA samples as a condition of their conviction, but over the years thousands of serious violent and sexual offenders have neglected to do so.
Attorney General Bob Ferguson is urging a federal judge in Spokane to rule that the Food & Drug Administration’s severe restrictions on the abortion medication mifepristone are unlawful, and order the federal agency to go back to the drawing board on regulating the drug.
