Everett mover ordered to cease operations, pay fine

Everett mover ordered to cease operations, pay fine

(Everything Else) Permanent link

MovingVanToday the Utilities and Transportation Commission ordered Everett-based residential moving company A & R Moving to cease and desist. The mover was also fined $10,000 for refusing to obtain a permit to legally operate a residential moving company within Washington state.

This is a good reminder that before you hire a residential moving company you should always verify the company has a permit to legally operate and check to see if they have any complaints at: www.utc.wa.gov/movingtips.

I just called these movers on Friday, Jan. 28 and made a reservation with them to move next Thursday, Feb. 2nd. They are moving me in the afternoon, because in the morning they are moving someone else. They are NOT on the list of movers with a permit to legally operate. I'm cancelling them on Monday. I should have come here first.
