SPOKANE — Today Judge Thomas O. Rice of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington issued an order reiterating that his injunction protecting access to mifepristone in Washington and 17 other states remains in full force and effect notwithstanding recent orders by courts in Texas.
SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today he filed a lawsuit against Puppyland and its owners for failing to honor advertised health guarantees and channeling customers into predatory loans with illegal terms restricting truthful reviews. The lawsuit asserts Puppyland misrepresented both the breeding standards of puppies it sold and the health guarantees they offered, while unfairly maneuvering buyers into signing predatory loans with interest rates approaching 200% without adequate time to understand the terms.
Both chambers of the Washington State Legislature have now approved a historic ban on the sale of assault weapons in Washington state.
SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today that a King County judge found Federal Way Discount Guns and its owner, Mohammed Reza Baghai, violated state law when they sold high-capacity magazines. Ferguson filed an enforcement action against Federal Way Discount Guns in December 2022 and the next month the court issued a preliminary injunction blocking the store from selling high-capacity magazines.
Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today that a federal judge in Spokane barred the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) from doing anything to reduce the availability of the medication abortion drug mifepristone in Washington, 16 other states and the District of Columbia. The states sued the FDA over access to the drug.

SEATTLE — Today Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced the recovery of $35 million and counting as a result of his lawsuit over price-fixing on chicken products. Fourteen of the 19 chicken producers named in the lawsuit paid $35 million to resolve claims against them. Ferguson’s office is working on a plan to distribute recoveries from this lawsuit to assist impacted Washingtonians.
OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today that more than three-quarters of Washingtonians in a statewide poll indicated they support the personal health data protections in the My Health My Data Act. Ferguson is partnering with Rep. Vandana Slatter, D-Bellevue and Sen. Manka Dhingra, D-Redmond, to propose the legislation, which passed the House on March 4, in a 57-39 vote. The bill still needs to pass the state Senate before reaching the Governor.
OLYMPIA — Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced today he will partner with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and a bipartisan group of eight state attorneys general in an antitrust lawsuit aimed at breaking up Google’s monopolization of online display advertising.
EVERETT — The Attorney General’s Office announced today it filed eight felony charges against Blayne M. Perez in Snohomish County Superior Court. The charges include seven charges of first degree animal cruelty and one charge of first degree malicious mischief.
