Kristin AKristin Alexander
Blog Moderator and Primary Contributor
Kristin Alexander is the short and perky media relations manager for the Washington State Attorney General's Office in downtown Seattle. When asked why she wanted to work for the AGO, she said something about wanting a job where she could ride her bike to work and desiring to buy a fish at the Pike Place Market. They hired her anyway. She promptly bought a salmon fillet from the mongers but after an inaugural bike ride up the city’s steep hills, opted to take the bus instead.

Kristin spends most of her day fielding calls from reporters who cover consumer affairs and peppering the attorneys and investigators in the office’s Consumer Protection Division with questions. She worked as a newspaper reporter prior to her government career and believes in the power of both traditional and “new” media to help educate consumers.

In her free time, Kristin performs at local theaters, dabbles in nonfiction writing and professes her appreciation for Washington’s vintners and their delectable juices.

Various Assistant Attorneys General
Now and then, one of our assistant attorneys general has something important or interesting to say – and we mean that in the nicest way. Our attorneys are a great group of busy, bright folks with a wide range of expertise. We love when they blog.
